Looks cool, but his un-resizable pop-ups open at 100 pixels by 100 pixels in firefox, which makes examining them impossible. Man, it is just not my night. posted by maxwelton at 11:23 PM on May 5
There must be a law that states that the better the images, the shittier the site usability.
Mm, I read the bldgblog interview yesterday. He's an art designer for Guild Wars, right? Does GW actually look this cool? 'Cause if so I might start playing. posted by Ritchie at 12:33 AM on May 6
I was about to post something like "Nice pictures. Assy site."
Glad I don't have to. posted by thinman at 1:00 AM on May 6
They all look a bit like progressive rock album covers from the mid 70s to me. posted by rhymer at 1:41 AM on May 6 [2 favorites]

I've never played it, but the one with the scaffolding appears to be an in-game shot. I'd love to hear from people who've played the game whether it looks this good and whether it's architecturally interesting. posted by Kattullus at 5:56 AM on May 6
Guild Wars does look about this cool, but not this sketchy, which is sort of a shame. You do get to see these images during loading screens, though. posted by shmegegge at 6:01 AM on May 6
Nitpick: "Game developer" (in this case, Art Director) is not the same thing as "Game Designer".
Nevertheless, this is beautiful work. posted by Robson at 10:15 AM on May 6
Looks similar to some of CraigMullins' work. Unfortunately it looks like his website has been redesigned and there's only one gallery posted. posted by anthill at 10:54 AM on May 6

That's the first thing it reminded me of, as well. Great use of lighting, and all.
I would link to Archive.org's copy of Mullins' old site, but the coverage seems very spotty and more trouble than it's worth to navigate. There is a hi-res collection of his commercial work for Halo, though, at halo.bungie.org. There is also a gallery of his Marathon art at HBO's sister site, marathon.bungie.org. posted by Rhaomi at 2:02 PM on May 6
omg post-apocalyptic-dystopia-filter!
Dude, draw a bowl of fruit or something.
Seriously though, these are some great postage stamps. posted by turgid dahlia at 3:03 PM on May 6

Actually Firefox 3b5 let me resize them without a problem (full screen). This Flickr set has some of his work in a larger size, for those people having browser issues. posted by msaleem at 1:09 PM on May 7
