Paul Newman has lung cancer. The prognosis does not look promising. How very sad.

A one-link post to a gossip blog? It's sad news, but I don't think this is a good FPP.

it's just a rumor, one that has been around for about a year now

Sad, yes, but Newman is also 83 years old, and that's a good run by anyone's standards. I'll raise a glass of salad dressing in his honor.

It hasn't even been confirmed by anyone. In fact his reps have denied it.

Here's a kickass scene from a kickass movie. Something to watch before this gets deleted!

Nothing sad about getting ready to die when you are 83.

One of the few to know about Newman's illness is his "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" costar and good pal, Robert Redford.

It ain't few anymore.

At 83, something is going to get you.

If it's described as terminal cancer, that rather implies NOT getting well soon.

However, as others have said, his people have denied it, and hey, he's 83 - if you live that long, you will most likely have one or more things wrong with you at any given point. Wait until the man does pass away, then we can have four posts about it.

Paul Newman is not at death's door, thank you very much.

The Hollywood icon's agent, Toni Howard, tells E! News a slew of gossip reports claiming Newman was terminally ill with lung cancer are "not true." In a separate statement, the actor's spokesman, Jeff Sanderson, said he spoke to Newman and "he's doing nicely."
