Interestingly, Cindy Mccain's "banana dominatrix" outfit at the Republican National Convention Monday night cost $300,000.

When I learn how much rich douche clothing costs, it always makes my seething, barely contained class rage boil over a little bit.

As tired as I am of plutocrats playing at populism, this caveat in the Vanity Fair piece concerns me:

(All prices except Laura’s shoes and Cindy’s watch are estimates, and the jewelry prices are based on the assumption that the pieces are real.)

That's a whole lotta "if's" teetering under the weight of class outrage, there--the bulk of the quoted cost of the outfit is in the estimate of the supposed diamond earrings.

I did like Jon Stewart's snark about her "collar levies."

But why there needs to be a post about it - especially one this thin - I don't know.
