When a man wears heels. Times critic AA Gill stomps around London in stilettos so all the other guys don't have to.

I have lost count of how many versions of stiletto experience I have seen, but the conclusion is always the same.

Many. And a July 31, 2008 FPP 'Walking a mile in our heels.'

Yes, yes, they hurt and require different movement and it's not at all like wingtips or sneakers. We've heard it all before.

Have a period, then tell us about that, dudes. I'm particularly interested in reaction to tissue expulsion whilst attempting a bath, so feel free to spend an entire column inch there.

Didn't some mook run a 100-yards in heels awhile back? I'm beginning to think these dudes just like wearing women's shoes.

(also, ladies don't ever wear heels for me. I don't spend enough time looking at people's feet to get the heel thing)

Didn't we just do this, like, a month ago?

Pffft. I've seen drag queens sprint 100 yards in heels faster than most people can run in sneakers. It's impressive.

As I said in the other thread, I can cartwheel in stilettos. Drunk. At 4am. On a hilly street.

Hypothetically.

One night I actually had to be in two drag shows. Thankfully the two venues were within a block of each other.. I'd perform at one, bolt down the street to the other, perform, run back.

That was not a fun night. But I didn't snap a heel!

In my mind, AA Gill is the guy who was "mightily pissed off" a couple of months back in a letter to his editors in which he complained of their overzealous change of "a nosh" to just "nosh". Please don't tell me if it's not.

I see no need for a man to follow along with this silly custom. Ser

That's an annual event in DC.

Heels, that's just the start of it. Try daily makeup, hair styling, shaving your legs and armpits, etc. I'm a guy, and I don't do drag, in part because of what I've seen my drag queen friends go through. It isn't pretty, and to think that most women subject themselves to at least some for of that every day . . . wow. Makes me feel like a total wimp whenever I complain about having to shave my face every morning.

Oh, that was fantastic! I'm contacting my tailor now for a replica of Neil's outfit.
