Ain't so simple

You've heard the isolated track of David Lee Roth's vocals on Runnin' with the Devil. You've played with the soundboard based on it. You've laughed at Microsoft Songsmith, which automatically generates music based on singing. But you haven't put them together. posted by Flunkie (28 comments total)

Ultimately from mrzarquon on Metafilter Music. This is basically an FPP to us.

This FPP is totally Van Hagar.

You failed to notice that Gizmodo credited Metafilter as the source of the mix?

So, who's going to call it out?

Still sounds better than Van Hagar.

Whoa it's like meta-meta-meta.

There's something I forgot to tell you.
Don't cross the streams.
It would be BAD.
Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light: total protonic reversal.
Important safety tip, that.

I love how it's painstakingly labeled.

Also, I'm pressing the "WHISTLE" button like it'll make the crack come out of my laptop.

Can we just sidebar the music post and delete this one?

I'm just waiting for the MeTa about whether or not this is appropriate, cause then it will have been thoroughly meta'd the fuck out of.

You know, this post struck me as a little suspicious, so I did some searching. The three links snuck in under the "More inside" seemed odd -- I started there. It didn't take long.

It seems that Flunkie is a longtime member of this "MetaFilter community weblog" site. You can see his profile right here. He didn't even bother submitting this post under a different name! I'm sorry to say it, but the post is obviously a self-link designed to drive traffic to metafilter.com. SELF LINK, BANNED.

No need to thank me. It's just what I do.

The meta-ness has set my happy slider to full.

David Lee Roth already got that honour.
