Ricardo Montalban has died. He was best known for his role in "Fantasy Island" and as Khan Noonien Singh, nemesis of Captain Kirk.
Standing on soil feels so much different than standing on city pavement; it lets you look inward and reflect and see who you really are, while you see a beautiful, unspoiled land as far as the eye can see. It allows your inner life to grow.

I saw him speak a few years ago after a screening of Mystery Street a really good 1950 police drama that deals with forensic science. He's also great in Border Incident by Anthony Mann a 1948 noirish thriller that deals with an undercover cop who gets involved with the smuggling of illegal immigrants crossing the border into the US.
