Even Israel's greatest defenders will have a hard time making excuses

I'll bet you're wrong.

"1 shot 2 kills" Fucking crazy.

Yeah, the oppression of the Palestinians is in no way, none, not possibly, darkening the souls of Israelis. Because nothing is more important than getting a few more kilometers of the desert God wants you have! Certainly not the health of your Nation or the morality of your children, O Israel!

Not only are they killers, they are SARTORIALLY IRRESPONSIBLE KILLERS.

That's as fucked up as a football bat.

Oh, so they know it's not okay to wear in civilian life, but somehow the military thinks it's okay to wear shirts that feature a battered woman and a 'bet you were raped!' slogan?

Fuck the IDF.

The funniest part was that when our soldier came to get the shirts, the man who printed them was an Arab, and the soldier felt so bad that he told the girl at the counter to bring them to him."
Yeah, I hear down South that even well-off Klansmen hesitated to give their sheets and hoods to their Darkie cleaning women after the getting hose sheets bloody at a lynching. See, even Klansmen have empathy.

Professional armies aren't like this. Israel is building sick and dangerous men.

Last night on the news there was a report on the recent outrage over Israeli soldiers and the revelations about them killing of civilians in the recent attack on Gaza. I'm not a big fan of Israel as of late, though I'm not a Palestinian apologist either, but can we just get something straight here, people? Soldiers are trained to kill, and so their perceived insensitivity to killing should come as no surprise, and war is bloody and horrible and innocent people die during war and that really sucks. Why should any of this come as a shock? There is nothing ethical or clean about war or armies, so let's stop pretending that we can come up with a method of waging war that doesn't involve tragedy and bloodshed and awfulness.

I'm not implying we shouldn't be outraged -- just that we shouldn't be surprised, either.

So, legally, what are the repercussions of figuring out what part of my taxes will go to Israel and witholding that much, say, in escrow, or some such? Is there a way to do this?

Didn't we just do this?

incessant, I'm hardly surprised; I'm just outraged that there's a new low.

So, soldiers who are trained to kill actually went out and killed, and then made jokes about killing?

Do people really think this is unique to the IDF?
