This post was deleted for the following reason: This is a bog-standard corporate video about a McDonalds supplier. Metafilter is not the Mr. Rogers Picture Picture segment. -- cortex

Someone needs to explain to these people the old rubric: "Garbage In, Garbage Out".

I remember seeing a McDonnald's bilbord once in a small town pointing out that their burgers were "100% Beef" It just struck me, What else would they be made of? And of course it makes you wonder what might be in the rest of their food as well that they would even feel the need to point that out.

It's kind of like having a first date tell you they haven't murdered a single person.

This is neither unintentionally funny, particularly informative, nor very gross. McDonald's is factory made food. Yes, and?

Why post it?

Yeah, what is this about? Just bringing to our attention the cognitive dissonance involved in being proud that the only thing in your patties is beef? Because: okay. Noted.

"where's the beef?"- from a wendy's ad of yore....
is it next to the pepsi blue? or are we here simply to crucify ronald mcdonald?

I don't get it either. This is pretty much a standard corporate video.

The "100% beef?" question has been addressed with the utmost care and precision (as usual) by Yahoo! Answers:

Resolved Question
Does McDonalds lie about having 100% beef in all there burgers? I think theye are, because last time i had a burger from there, it tasted like it wasb't 100% beef.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
Yes i think they do.
Its got to be pumped full of stuff to taste that good.

Asker's Rating: *****
Asker's Comment:
good answer, because 100% beef does not taste that good, and it was a plain burger i had.
