Abu Gharib -- I remember seeing a few pictures from this prison a few years ago, I never really thought anything of it. . . Just figured it was some jerks messing around with some terrorists. The photo's will give you a different perspective on the war in Iraq and what took place in this prison.

Many of you can remember seeing a few censored pictures of Abu Ghraib and probably thought nothing of it. They were prisoners of war for a reason, but god dammit act a little bit more professional when your on the job you F****** Idiots!

This post was deleted for the following reason: Removed for various reasons: 1) This isn't the right way to present this, if there is a right way to present this. 2) Pretty sure these photos have been discussed before and 3) such heavy-handed editorializing generally doesnt work well here. -- vacapinta

I'm torn between "we need to see this" and "goddamn does this post suck".

I agree with Pope Guilty. It is a shitty post, but more Americans need to know what has been going on in their name.

Sick and shameful.

Also, NSFW - unless you work at Abu Ghraib.

Framing is just as important as content, people! This post sucks and does not set the right tone for the subject matter. That is to say, not even close.

Terrible post about a much too important subject.

Salon published these photos in 2006. That one's a little bit more professional.

I mean really? This was a huge disgraceful story in Australia (and I thought everywhere).
