Very clever, but this probably belongs where you found it, in the AskMe about icecube trays.

I just watched an ad. Why did I do that?

Regular old ice trays require no instruction, produce more ice and probably freeze faster.

Why fix what ain't broken?

For something called an IceOrb it seems like it would produce round ice cubes, but from the pictures online it looks like they're semispherical at best. So the entire gimmick is just that it's vertical? No thanks, I'll stick with my egg cuber instead.

This whole post smells very fishy to me.

The person who recommended the Ice Orb on the AskMeFi post that delmoi linked to has 0 posts and and only that 1 comment. And then this shows up on the blue the same day? I'm not saying it IS a fish, I'm just saying it smells like one.

Christ, what an asshole, that video is awesome.

Haha, you're right Ryan, I should have noticed that. Oops!

Ignoring the silliness of the video itself (which is the only reason what is otherwise a single-link ad deserves to be an FPP), what a completely useless product. It looks like it takes up five times the space a couple of ice cube tray would, and while I'm sure people have horror stories for the life of me I have never, ever dealt with the incredible strain of a "difficult" ice cube tray.

Well, it looks like you could store something in the Ice Orb while the water is freezing. Perhaps even cubes you've already made!

I was waiting for something amazing, and at the end it's just an ice cube tray, WTF? No explosions? No cryogenic storage?
