All doubts were unfounded. The 35.2-meter jump distance was the first Softslide practice test with real people under real conditions. I think the last doubters now the words are missing.

I don't doubt it, but why is it a viral ad for Microsoft? What about it makes me associate it with Microsoft Project in any way?

Er, for the record, I don't work for Microsoft, or its associates. The video is more enjoyable - in my view - for having to work out that it's fake, how it's fake and why on earth this is supposed to make you go out and buy MS Project.

Is that all it takes to advertise something nowadays? A logo and a video of anything? What if someone reposts your viral video (which is whole point of "viral")? Shouldn't a viewer somehow be able to figure out what your product is? Those Ray-Ban guys were at least throwing sunglasses around. Or does Microsoft Project involve a slip and slide somehow? (It's been a while since I used it.)

Handheld shakycam + zoomed out + small particle, easy enough to render + zooming in only after the "feat" is accomplished = fake video.
It's like people aren't even trying anymore, they're just doing that same stupid effect over and over again.

While it looks professionally done (too professionally, possibly, for such bad shot framing for showing detail) and is impressive for the fakery, I'm finding it hard to imagine too many people over the age of 13 seeing that as real.
Maybe I'm too cynical, but surely enough people understand and can visualise how fast things fall to laugh in the face of the prescribed acceleration on the slide and how far he went? Is the whole point of it that it is fake, but looks fairly convincing? Like a double bluff?
