These are just a few of the reactions to a major change--some speculate the decision is based on financial reasons; others think the switch signifies the end of a printed catalog. After fifty years of using Futura, IKEA has switched from using its own custom Futura and Century Schoolbook fonts to Verdana. In an interview with Cap & Design, Ivana Hrdlickova defends the decision.

Oh no! I heard about this the other day on metafilter and I was waiting until it showd up on metafilter to decide if it was true.
