Do you Sporcle?

Do you like list trivia? Do you like typing answers to list trivia without having to hit enter? Then Sporcle might be for you. (Previously.)

Subjects range from very general to fairly esoteric. There are some that add a twist to usual list memorization.

For the time I've been observing, 5 new quizzes are posted each weekday, 3 on weekend days.

Some of Mental Floss's quizzes have a similar mechanic.

Around midnight and noon, I refresh Sporcle almost as much as I refresh Metafilter.

All things considered, Sporcle is probably the hardest site I go to regularly. Damn addictive though.

Protip: Spaces and punctuation don't count, so don't type them if it'd be faster not to.

Oh, and this Alphabetical US States quiz is probably the most ingeniously difficult I've hit. Yeah, you can name them, but in order?

Sporcle breaks are indeed a regular occurrence at the office. Fun stuff. And I wholly support the popularity of the site in order to get more quizzes made. Huzzah!

Having had to memorize this as a kid helped a lot, graymouser.

Turns out I know next to nothing about the career of Susan Sarandon. Man, I even missed The Banger Sisters - and my brother rented it just last week!

I just checked, and since I signed up for an account last November, I've done 2639 quizzes on Sporcle.

I just . . . really like trivia, and once they let me keep track and compete against myself, it was pretty much all over for me.

Plus, now everyone is super-impressed with my knowledge of African capital cities and elements that start with D.
