This post was deleted for the following reason: Obnoxious in-thread reaction or no, this is basically update-filter without a lot of meat and could probably be presented a bit better than this. -- cortex

This is not justice

But it is overt, breathless editorializing in the post. Flagged.

The home secretary has insisted that he had received assurances from the US government, including a guarantee that McKinnon would be assessed by doctors and psychologists were he transferred to a US jail, and would receive "appropriate medical care and treatment", including counselling and medication, in a letter from the US Department of Justice this February, seen by the court.
Given that we now know that US medical professionals -- including licensed medical doctors and psychiatrists -- were complicit in and facilitated torture at Guantanamo and at other US prisons, what precisely, does the home secretary think this guarantee guarantees?

Oh stop. We've always allowed greater leeway in the title of a post. And we discourage thread-shitting, especially in the first post. Flag it, or open a metatalk on it, or best yet, move on to another post more conformant to your views, but stop breaking the community norms in your zeal to enforce them.

As long as the flag is the stars and stripes with a scapegoat in the middle of it then flag away.

Inspector Gadget, you're being extradited to Metatalk.

Thank you Inspector.Gadget for your intensely valuable contribution. Even though I've been lurking for ages, I hadn't (successfully) posted a thread until now, and was unaware of this rule. I bet when you were at school you were the one who went running to the teacher with a really smug look on your face whenever you spotted the slightest misdemeanour. ("Sir! Sir! Bradley's eating crisps!")
