What happens in the cocoon is never very pretty

Repeat after me, boys and girls, this mantra: PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION. I don't give a damn whether you're so liberal you wear leaves for shoes to keep from hurting cows or so conservative you recoil at the idea of a public ANYTHING...we are SOOOOOO close, guys, to literally changing history, that we cannot, we WILL NOT...blow it at this point by bickering amongst our little Democratic selves because we're not getting every single little itty bitty solitary thing we want in a health care bill or any other bill that is before congress these days...

This post was deleted for the following reason: what are you doing with this post exactly? aside from the fact that pullquotes really need to be quoted, this is a single link blog op-ed, yes? it might be better with some framing, or something. -- jessamyn

Paulin San Juan, just to explain why your post is about to get deleted, these kind of posts aren't usually welcomed. Not because you don't have a right to say whatever you like, but because front-page posts are usually supposed to things that are of interest to everyone by virtue of their excellence, with political discussion, if it arises, as a byproduct of discussion about said things. The post you made is commonly referred to as a "GYOB" (get your own blog) front-page post.

Do you really WANT a President Palin in three years?

I'm not voting Democratic again just because the Republicans throw up their latest emptyheaded racist du jour. You want our vote, earn it by passing the legislation we voted you in to pass.

Just so you know, the only reason I'm married is that my wife chose progress over perfection. Too bad for her she ended up with neither, but I cannot be held responsible for her poor decision making.

This looks like something I would have written if I had read Hunter S. Thompson a month before my sixteenth birthday. I don't mean to hate but... I hate this. I'm pro-Obama, but I just can't read this without my ears ringing.
