We have a set of people cards at my work. They are perhaps the most fascinating things I've ever seen while I'm sitting in a meeting.

I used to work at a trading card distributor, and these folks sent us some sample cards about a year ago. We never laughed so long and hard the whole time I worked there.

Darn. I knew I should have made PeopleCards a front page link. Which MeFi Members would you like to see on a People Card? I vote for aaron, CrazyUncleJoe, maura, mathowie and Steven Den Beste. What about the rest of you?

MeFi cards . . . now that's a swell idea.

Saw the People Cards at Chicago Comics the other day, and almost grabbed a pack of them. Perhaps I will next time I'm there.

Ah..."who's on the MeFi A-List?" disguised as an innocent tangential query. I'll bite:

Dreama, owillis, rodii, clavdivs, pikachulolita, and Postroad (among others, and excluding those previously mentioned, of course).

They have a neat page of links. Some pretty offbeat shit in there. It's only a matter of time somebody takes one of 'em and posts it up front.but we'll know

And. . .when was the last time you typed in www.jesus.com? Me? Never really thought to do it. Jesus.com is funny. Sorry for the off issue!

Some of those links seriously may warrant a frontpage post I'm really beginning to think now.

Not I. Not I. ; )

Adding to the list of MeFi'ers: rebeccablood, dong_resin, zachsmind and I'm sure a bunch of others I'm just not thinking of right now...

No, really. I'd like to see someone from Metafilter go through the process, to see if they are interesting enough to merit a PeopleCard. I dislike the notion of the "A-List." This isn't a club, it's a community. Who cares who's on the "A-List" or who's more 1337? Not me. Words, not user numbers. :) (hate smileys, but this seems like proper use).
