The Fictional 100

The Fictional 100 Some of the most influential and interesting people in the world are fictional. Sherlock Holmes, Huck Finn, Pinocchio, Anna Karenina, Genji, Scheherazade, and Superman, to name a few, may not have walked the Earth (or flown, in Superman's case), but they certainly stride through our lives. They influence us personally and they can sometimes change the world. The Fictional 100 ranks the most influential characters in world literature and legend, from six continents and throughout history. Where does Sherlock Holmes rank? How about some of your favorite characters?

So, um, how do we get to see this fictional 100?

Hamlet is number 1?

Hamlet in limerick form:

Hamlet has gone quite queer in the head
'Cause his mom took his uncle to bed
Since he cannot decide
Murder or suicide?
He'll just whine until everyone's dead
