Laurel J. Sweet of The Boston Herald attempts to draw a connection between Amy Bishop's accused killing spree and her love of the role playing game Dungeons & Dragons in this article.

This post was deleted for the following reason: There's probably a good post to be made about the whole Bishop thing, but this is not such a great way to go about it with half the post being a brief fight-starter of an op-ed. -- cortex

Damn, I guess the 80s are back.

I bet she played Scrabble too. It was probably Scrabble's fault.

But the Boston Herald is a joke.

I don't really think this is something she's "accused" of, this is something she did. There are people who were there who survived. Faux legalese doesn't make the world a better place.

Herald sounds kinda medevil and fantasy-like if you know what I'm saying. Maybe this is just a tactic to distract us from the sinister alliance of Litch and Mind Flayers which even now is working arcane psionics to encompass our doom.

You could make a good post about this crime. The New York Times has done some interesting reporting.

While I'm still snarking, I'd like to point out the high correlation between school massacres and bowling aficionados at Columbine High School. A game where one person can "knock down" many "pins." Replace "Knock down" with shoot and "pins" with people and the connection is obvious. Clearly, bowling caused that tragedy.

Good stuff in The Chronicle of Higher Education as well.

Yeah, a 5 paragraph op-ed is pretty thin for an FPP.
