a 45 minute ride in a helicopter over Rome. Then 3 days to draw the city on a 15 yard long canvas. 5 good minutes of film covering the event. Stumbleupon Video.

This post was deleted for the following reason: man the internet has made it so that i think of something entirely different when i hear the phrase "helicopter ride" but anyway i guess this is a double -- cortex

Had heard about/seen something else on this fellow before, but, damn, it's amazing every time.

And the aerial footage of Rome is a real treat. Damn, that's one beautiful city. I want to go back RIGHT NOW.

Fun fact: the enormous white monument seen in the 2nd aerial shot is the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II. It is generally disliked. From the Wiki: "Romans sometimes refer to the structure by a variety of irreverent slang expressions, such as "Zuppa Inglese", "the wedding cake", and "the false teeth", while Americans invading Rome in 1944 labeled it "the typewriter", a nickname also adopted by the locals."

This documentary also featured Prof. Allen Snyder who can apparently induce similar talents in people by using magnets to temporarily disable part of their brain.
