The Difference Between is a website that simply explains the difference between an astonishing variety of things. Want to know the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero? What about something weightier like The Difference between Socialism and Liberalism?. Thedifferencebetween.net website claims it "not only facilitates your understanding of a topic, but it also enables you to differentiate two similar subjects."

[Diet Coke] is preferred by people who want no calories, but plenty of taste.

Is it really, now?

I am devastatingly disappointed at the lack of a "The Difference Between Your Ass and a Hole in the Ground" entry.

Is this site anything other than a low-quality content farm to sell advertisements? Lots of keyword stuffing.
Alimony and spousal support are one and the same. Both the words refer to the same thing. Alimony can be called as a type of spousal support. Alimony is the common term that is used now instead of spousal support. Earlier spousal support was used very commonly.
The "black olives vs. green olives" article seems to be full of garbage content about lentils, kimchi, yogurt, and tofu.

And, for the most part, the "differences" are ill researched, shallow comparisons by someone who knows little about the subject... for example.

~Many modern-day politicians have been supporting modern liberalism because they believe that the government can solve all problems once it is granted total power. These politicians point out the inequality of different classes in society, and propose reforms that at first seem to favor the poor and marginalized, but in the end just grants the government reason to extend its powers to curtail private interests. And even though liberals seem to advocate reforms to improve government policy, they are still embracing the same old political structure to further their own ambitions.

hmmm...guess the rest of you noticed it as well, eh?

And, where's the apples to oranges comparison I came here for, eh?

A lot of the entries read like a high school term paper filled with sentences to the brim with all sorts of things that aren't exactly needed and are grammatically incorrect.

What is the original language of these?

Difference Between Alcoholics and Problem Drinkers

Unlike an alcoholic, a problem drinker can stop his drinking habit anytime. There are several instances when a problem drinker stops drinking. In case a doctor advises him against consuming alcohol or if his spouse or any close relation threatens to leave him, then there is a possibility that the problem drinker stops consuming alcohol.

An alcoholic will never listen a doctor’s advice whereas a problem drinker abides with a doctor’s advice. Most of the alcoholics are just flying birds and they do not seek any one’s help or advice for any mater. The alcoholics may even choose a bottle of alcohol over the spouse whereas a problem drinker is always afraid of the spouse.

An alcoholic has no botheration of life or future. For him, the world is just alcohol. On the other hand, a problem drinker has certain concepts of the future and that is why he stops the habit after proper advice.

I have botheration of life or future, so I guess I'm... fine?

This seems to be more "what some person paid by the word thinks is the difference between X and Y" than an objective analysis. Hell, the XP vs. Vista article reads like an advertisement for Vista.

Difference Between Catholic and Jewish.

Jewish people believe in monotheism, whereas Catholics believe in the Trinity. For a Jewish person, Jesus Christ is a wonderful teacher, but not an incarnation of God, whereas Christianity revolves around this central theme that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and son of God. Jewish people believe in free will and the choice given to humans by birth to select good over bad, whereas Christians’ belief is that people are good or bad by birth.

The difference between socialism and liberalism article is terrible, and I'm saying that as a Marxist. Socialism is primarily about workers' control of production, not something like an advanced form of rationing. American style liberalism is about capitalism being run with more rights and privileges for workers, and a safety net. If this is an indication of the site's quality, it's a bad one.

Beer vs Whiskey

You might have heard that whiskey makes you frisky, and so beer makes you queer might be true as well. The major differences between beer and whiskey are the percentage of alcohol, price, color, taste and appearance. There is also a difference in their bottles, corks and labels.

Good grief. The similarities are...
