Cats On Film brings us
My Day, By Jonesy. What's a cat to do when all the can-openers seem to have their attention focussed on the giant hairless kitten which just burst out of one of their chests?

If you don't mind installing
Steam and are running a version of Windows, you can download and play
Alien Swarm for free. It's a top-down shooter with four-player co-op of you and your friends against the aliens.

ImmorTall is a
game short glimpse of an alien's life as it is caught in the midst of humanity. It's not really a game that you can win or lose, there are no bosses or leveling up. It's a beautiful but sad look at humanity.

aliens, planet Voca, music The Voca people are 8 friendly aliens from the planet Voca, a musical planet that has no verbal communication but use vocal expressions only. They have heard the music from earth for decades now and with their imitation abilities they have decided to pay a one evening tribute to humanity and to perform the songs they love as musical- gratitude. And, for your continued enjoyment, a
more....
because, sometimes we take things way too seriously around here!

Fox have offocially
announced that Ridley Scott has officially
signed on to direct the new 'Alien' prequel. He certainly did a great job on the
original but can he match his previous truimph? Given the number of
projects he has in gestation (heh) maybe any celebration is premature...

Aliens vs Predator: Whoever wins,
you lose - MeFi's own
jscalzi talks about the worst Sci-Fi film of the year. Meanwhile Sigourney Weaver and Ridley Scott suggest making another alien movie - with
Ripley but
without any aliens. It's may not be all bad news for xenomorphs though - 2009 will see the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines is still just around the corner,
hopefully.

"The common point of all my characters is that they aren’t nice, [they’re] either nasty or mean. They all have a personality with
good and
bad sides."
Olivier Bucheron creates striking alien and robot meanies.
Zamak....

Fearless Fightin' Flash Fun for Friday:
Robokill is a demo that recalls the overhead action of
SMASH TV - though this time, you're placed in the metal shoes of a lowly salvage bot, sent to decimate your mechanical brethren who commandeered an orbital outpost. As you clear the halls for the benefit of some lazy humans, you can trade supplies and armaments with an alien merchant who mistakes
you for one of Earth's fleshbags. It's a thankless job, sure, but you're supposed to be a remorseless machine...

For centuries mankind has wondered if the Alien (from the movie
Alien) could viably gestate in the plastic belly of a My Little Pony doll, and if it could, what would the offspring look like. Well,
wonder no more. Final images
here. Making of
here.
