"I'm having a little get together with some of my friends...." I found this bizarre and disturbing little flash-movie a few months ago. The first link is actually the
second installment in what is now five episodes. There's more (including the first through the fifth) on
his site.
The music is phenomenal- bits of spookiness from
sigur ros and
aphex twin.
When you're all done, there's an interview with the author regarding Salad Fingers
here. People are still trying to figure out exactly who the character is and where he's from. If you look and listen carefully, there are literary references, anagrammed names, etc.
If you liked Salad, you might also like

Bohemian election. Just a little something to lighten the day. Bound to be a double post but can't find any signs, so apologies in advance if it is. Altogether now,
My brother jeb has votes put aside for meeee...

I've been having a good time with "You and We", a project from
Born Magazine that invites you to "contribute your words and images to this continuously evolving, collective experiment." Users upload art, text and photos to be collaged together in a fast-moving montage that actually turns out to be pretty nice. So far there have been over a thousand contributors. [Flash, Sound (toggles), and possibly NSFW.]

Yet another political flash cartoon! Anyone else getting tired of hearing the same bland crap about the upcoming election?
This flash cartoon somehow manages to be funny anyway, even though its subject has been done to death. It's brilliant, and definitely worth a look.

Going Poston! - This is a
Flash parody about the NFL's most notorious player agents, the Postons, Carl and Kevin.
This article from a month ago, pretty much sums up why they're becoming so infamous.

Drawn in the style of a pre-school children's cartoon. But from the sick & twisted minds of the guys from Southpark.
Princess, A lap dog who observes the very adult world around her. The sexual content was so extreme shockwave.com halted development of the "webisodes" only after seeing the first 2 of 39 episodes that were contracted.
Now you can
watch these shorts & judge for yourself. Thanks to the folks at Trio.

Our delicate ecosystem - apparently comprises snakes, badgers, mushrooms and ..er.. badgers. If, like me, you are in an excitable mood, then you will be murmuring 'badger badger badger' for the next 5 hours in a Beavis 'Tee-pee for my bunghole style'.
Happy early Friday flash!

Slightly ominous, slightly beautiful collection of ePostcards (and photographs) of Streatham Cemetery, rendered in the subtlest use of Flash I've ever seen (gentle animations on small portions of each image. Be sure to view the cemetery in all four seasons, multiple pix of each.

HERCUBUSH! Long ago in ancient greece lived the Bush who began it all: HERCUBUSH! Half God, half mortal, half Texan, HERCUBUSH roamed the seven seas with one mission: To Destroy EVIL!

Baby, It's Cold Outside: Perhaps it's unethical - well, it's certainly incestuous - to draw your attention to one of
madamjujujive's great links on
quonsar's brilliant
Meepzorp blog ("
Where, thank the Lord, it is always Friday" -
Christian Science Monitor, 18.12.76). But what about linking two?
Bouncing Baby and
Gulp are two great Flash pieces that address the question of nurture; motherhood; the oral nature of pleasure; the ontology of fuzzy gratification; the metaphysics of the transition from womb to nipple and other meretricious bullshit justifications for fun.
