The BBC has a new sketch show, called Wrong Door. It's very heavy on CGI - indeed, the official blurb calls it 'a parallel world where the effects you see in TV and movies are real'. And it's funny - check out the trailers on YouTube. And it has Brian Blessed and a spaceship shaped like a giant silver cock and balls. Really, what's not to love? But the best bit isn't in the show, [more inside]

Apparently genuine reply to a letter sent to the Inland Revenue. "I must take issue with your description of our last as a "begging letter". It might perhaps more properly be referred to as a "tax demand". This is how we, at the Inland Revenue have always, for reasons of accuracy, traditionally referred to such documents." Not in fact about telegraphy. Those fine young people at b3ta have been exercising their imaginations in depictions of the Victorian Internet. (via boingboing).

But I Thought The Danes Were Good Guys... so what are they doing offering this Godwin's-Law-begging, nasty, violent Flash game? I mean, if it had been a ****** [nationality protected by political correctness] game, I don't think I'd have been half as shocked. National stereotypes - don't you hate them? But just how strong are they, when they're splattered, as it were, even over online gaming? [Via good old b3ta.com, who were just as aghast as me at the provenance. Hey, even the URL is scary!]

Excellent Scopitone from Sharpeworld, the B3ta orange kitten is back, this time playing the xylophone, and a dark but clever cartoon.

The b3ta server appeal is a desperate attempt by the viral entertainment geniuses at b3ta to stay alive... Almost every seriously connected person has seen one of their flash projects - from Buffy's swearnig keyboard, Cursor Love Bunny and The Cat Game and they've worked with (and helped support) rathergood.com's Joel Veitch in his work - most of us have seen Frightened Boy. And if you need any more proof that they need to be saved, then this should do the job.
