Three propositions:
- Like everything else cultural, language goes through phases and fads, and what seemed one week like a fresh, inventive phrase quickly becomes debased through misuse and overuse.
- Tracking such things, and commenting on them, is fun, and it's nice to have a corpus of examples to draw on to make your point. It might be fun to take Metafilter as a starting place. You could even build a site around it.
- Those smaller fish that swim around with sharks are called remoras.

Globe of Blogs lists weblogs by location (
Portugal, anyone?), title, authors's name, sex, age or birthday (why?). Problem is, the list is scanty at best. Sign yourself up.

A world wide weblog. Neale's trying out an idea: a weblog by anyone, anywhere--but the technological "seeds" have to be planted by people. So far it's spread to Brunei, Australia, England, the US and the Moon. Slow virus, distributed guestbook, or what? I don't know, but I like it.
Help blanket the earth!

Another weblog goin' down. There are almost too many of these to mention these days, but I hope I can be excused for thinking this one is special:
Tomalak's Realm is shutting its doors on Friday after two and half years and almost ten thousand links. A genuinely useful site, with lots of attention to detail. Thanks to Lawrence for all the work.
