Pauline Kael has
died. Love or hate her, she was influential and different, and at the time shaped how we view film.

Turn your webwasher off for
this link.
I hate banner ads, which is why I use webwasher, they're annoyingly large, wasteful, and don't work. The reason they are dying and taking the rest of the dot-com industry along with them.
I don't know much about Hondas or cars all entirely, but prius seems like a good idea, better fuel efficiency saves on money and doesn't pollute as much. The reason I like the ad though, is it's not intrusive, it doesn't have a 200k gif of a windows alert box telling you 'your connected is too slow. CLICK HERE to make it faster OK', it doesn't blink or use flash. It is tailored to a specific audience, people that look up directions and drive their cars, the product that the company sells.
I hope this is the future of advertising on the web, but then again, how exactly are you suppose to fish out people to buy your 'ultra small hidden bathroom cameras'?

These are the coolest people ever. I have been using them for newsreading for about a year now; today my pc got fried, got a new hd and all, I've lost my login/pass, asked them again and got a prompt reply. The service is really good, the severs are fast, faster than att's @home, stuff shows up in matter of minutes. It's things such as these that make you remember, if for a second, that not everything's a part of some big corporate whore-machine.

Fetus is a person? The bill's supporters, predominantly Republicans during the debate, denied the measure is anti-abortion, and instead is aimed at punishing criminals who attack pregnant women. It exempts abortions performed with the woman's consent.
Is that all it is or is there a set up for further laws, going into abortion and such?

Wacky! even Kooky, what do you think it is?
It seems that these days every other post has something to do with politics or dotcoms,
Art Bell is coming back and it would be fun to do something of his range. How about best/funniest ghost/supernatural pic you can find on the net and then your explanation. There was mine.

I guess it's their choice. Because, "they" are forcing you to watch Queer as Folk. It's kinda funny reading stuff like "I wish I had Showtime so I could cancel it." or "I dumped the Disney Channel a few years ago, over their "Gay and Lesbian" week at their park", maybe, it's just sad. A salon link? "It's [Salon] become boring. Way too safe and predictable with its left-leaning bias,"

Problem. Proposed solution : nominate a few films, Gladiator, Erin Brokovich and so on. And let Stanley Kubrick's disowned Sparticus take the top 5-6 Oscars. Just shows that god's worst film is still better than tripe created today.

Chernomyrdin to sue George W. Bush to clear his name and business reputation. While we're on this, Monica Lewinsky, too, plans to sue Bill Clinton, because she too, wants 'to clear her name and business reputation.'

Dr. Lau.. Err..Gore [When one participant asked Gore about homosexuality -- which the man described as a "sin" -- Gore responded that homosexuality is an abnormality which should be discouraged. "I think it is wrong," Gore explained to the audience. "It is not just another normal optional lifestyle."]

"the biggest anti-doping program in Olympic history." ``I'm very pleased,'' International Olympic Committee president Juan Antonio Samaranch said of the doping withdrawals. ``I'm very happy. This is very good news. It shows the new system for detecting doping substances will work very well. ... The objective is to have clean games."
Detecting doping? With what? Like a radar, err.. dopler?
