Whatever Likesilver is plotting, rest assured it'll kick a little ass.

A lot of you visited my Web site -- Mattdabrowski.com -- over the past few days to see what they think about me in school. Well, the administration is fighting back. Stop by my site regularly to see if I get expelled for exercising my constitutional rights.

I've been doing the weblog and the editorial thing online for nearly four months now, and in that time I've gotten my share of hate mail. I love it. It shows me how much everyday out there in Net land loves me. I had the same warm and fuzzy feeling when I got my hands on a copy of 'The Annoying Jerk', written by a girl in my AP English class. They just love me up at Naugatuck High School. They really do.

I have to agree with 'The Wrong Approach' by OSAll staff writer Brian Martin. Martin postulates that nearly every system on the planet could be secured with one simple step: making default installations totally locked down as opposed to the status quo of totally systems. 'I say it could be done in one month. In reality, most unix vendors could sit down and change their default settings in a matter of days.'

The Top Economic Events of the Twentieth Century is an interesting list. It's good to know that people truly realize the economic importance of things like the Apple II and the Web browser.

Philosophy in Cyberspace and Politics.com are wealths of information. Visit them if you want a complete bio of either Hatch or Hegel, Bradley or Baudrillard.

The ICQ Protocol Site is a neat resource about the ICQ protocol. Yeah, that's right. I bet you didn't see that coming. Anyways, the protocol is kinda elegant.

A few political links today.
Arthur, Tyler, and Polk were interesting men, but mediocre Presidents. Learn about them by spending a few minutes in the smallish Hall of Forgotten Presidents.
William F. Maton's Solon Law Archive Mirror is a neat resource, especially for those interesting in the Canadian constitution. Every major and minor constitutional act is up there.
The ZDNet UK Random Political Manifesto Generator is a funny little script. 'Friends, Britain stands poised on the threshold of a new era. The future holds great promise but who will reap the benefits? Make sure you're not left out by voting for us.'

The Bellingham Radio Museum is a neat find. Inside its sound archives are Real Audio recordings of some of the highlighs in radio history, including the Abdication of Edward VIII and Hitler's Speech after the Annexation of Poland.

Pursuitwatch.com is a typical American piece of fecal matter. It's a news service dealing totally in high speed chases. And now, one can get chase news sent directly to one's alphanumeric pager. It's a symbol of the general rise of 'dumbth'. If you don't know what dumbth is, I cover it a little in my column for the thirtieth of October. The article is really about some crazy stuff going on in Britain, but it's a good read. MattDabrowski.com is better than Pursuitwatch.com any day.

The Hamster Dance may be fun, but I like the Jesus Dance. The background sound is amusing, 'My Plastic Jesus'.

If you don't know about the iPic server, you should. And if you do, you should check out the site again. The iPic server is the world's smallest Web server. It contains a few files on a chip the size of a nickel. If this isn't sassy, I don't know what is.

PIXELTIME is neat, albeit hard to understand quickly. Basically, it's a gallery of icon art, i.e. art made from those very small images of Windows fame. There are some neat things up here.

I went to Catholic high school for two years, and being the incredibly geeky type, I wondered, given the Pope is the Bishop of Rome, how he ran the whole church and his provincial diocese. This site is a good snippet that answers the question, for those people like me who have academic interests in theology.

Any red-blooded American who has taken high school chemistry in the last fifteen years or so, or any red-blooded American who watchs public television, has heard of the august Professor Roald Hoffmann and his World of Chemistry television series. Professor Hoffmann does theoretical chemistry at Cornell, and is a damn cool guy.

Here are a few neat links. V.I.S. Services is the press releases site for the Vatican. ZapZone is really cool. The gimmick is that a Webmaster sets up ZapZone to look like his site, and ZapZone offers free e-mail to the Webmaster's users. Lastly, I really enjoyed Final Fantasy VII, especially the music. Zaphiroth's Final Fantasy VII Site has a great MIDI colleciton.

Affinia seems like a cool dot-com. They're making money setting up storefronts from other people, and matching vendors with affiliate sites.

I like the concept of the FYI Image Depository. It's kinda neat to just waste an hour sifting through what people have uploaded. The contents range from fingerpainting to softcore porn.

For those who like to build things, I enjoyed Build Your Own Boba Fett and Build Your Own Tom Servo, especially the Servo. I have most of the parts, so I'll probably have my very own Servo by Christmas.

Slate did a neat survey of beers, in attempt to get the best beer for one's buck. This should be required material in every American high school. ;)

This is the kinda hokey official Web site of Whitman Mayo, the actor who played Grady in Sanford and Son. Conan O'Brien made a big deal about this guy a little while, and not without a touch of Conanistic sarcasm.

This looks really cool. It's a six-shooter potato canon. Rapid fire, the advert says. Cool.

Have you ever wondered about what bar codes really mean? Or how to generate them? Barcode 1 is a neat resource. Even cooler is the Barcode Server, which will generate codes for you. Finally, you can look up bar codes for your favorite products at the UPC Database.

Jerry's Ranking of the U.S. Presidents - Think fast! Who was the better President, Franklin Pierce or John Tyler? Time's up! It's Tyler. Of course, this guy also says that Clinton is better than Lincoln, so I guess that's the problem. Tyler has nothing on Pierce anyways....

'A Model of Loyalty and Filial Devotion. An Outstanding Statesman. Great Leader of the People and Theoretician. Outstanding Representative of Independent Politics.' No. It's not me. It's Comrade Kim Il Jong - His Life and Mission. Read the Commie bunk the Reds are pushing on their people.

A Heartbeat from the White House - This is an interesting page from a member of the 'RPG Anti-Defamation League' Web ring. It just goes to show you that, for a family of tobacco farmers from Hicksville, Tennessee, the Gores sure live in an ivory tower.

Kingdom of Talossa According to their site, the Kingdom of Talossa is an independent, sovereign nation in North America which seceded peacefully from the United States in 1979. It's a nation in miniature. So when you were seven and declared your room the Republic of Me, don't run to the shrink. You're in good company.

Mattdabrowski.com Tuesday I write about the general election in India, and the struggle therein between two large political personalities, both born into the purple. Wednesday, I pay tribute to Connecticut's greatest newspaper.

Mattdabrowski.com - Another day, another column. For Labor Day, I step out of character and briefly praise the labor movement. Never again, he screams, as he shakes his fist in the air.

Mattdabrowski.com It's midnight on the East Coast, and like clockwork there is a new column on the site. Today I cast the spotlight on today's summit meeting of the leaders of French-speaking countries in Moncton, New Brunswick. Didn't think Poland spoke French? Read the article.

Mattdabrowski.com Today I write about the latest craze in British junior high extracurriculars, sex. On Saturday, my essay will explain how not guns turned the Columbine shooters into killers, but a good few pills.

Mattdabrowski.com - Today I take on the Governor of Rhode Island and his bad-bill-writin' General Assembly.

Mattdabrowski.com Well, finally, after four years of apathy and general non-working-ness, my web site has gone up. Go see it. As my Italian great-grandmother would say, 'Is good for you.' Today, I rant about the Israeli 'peace process' and snicker at some hippie peace-fest in the woods of Connecticut.

Auto baron Henry Ford was a great entrepreneur and a peacemaker during the World World I era. In fact, he loved just about everyone. Everyone, that is, except for the Jews. Read his book and find out how Anti-Semitism isn't just for white trash anymore.
