A student asked the Master, "What is the nature of the
Unofficial Daria Movie Rumor Page?"
The Master repiled, "The Page is
a long, confusing story told backwards. It is
lies and half-truths, yet it is the greater truth. It is a mirror,
a puppet show, a morality tale, a fiction which is real life, an homage yet the
reverse of an homage. It is the future, set in the present,
retelling the past. It is the present, set in the present, retelling the present."
The student said, "
Huh?"
The Master continued, "If
all else fails, look at the very bottom of the Page, past the links and the Web rings."
The student, not understanding, did as the Master told him. It was then that he was
enlightened.

Cartoon in Times Prompts Inquiry by Secret Service I know these guys have to investigate jokesters and fools who threaten the President, but this has the broad outlines of Federal intimidation of the press. Bah humbug on the SS, good for the lawyers for smackin' the guy down, and double good for the
L.A. Times for reporting it to their readers. (Reg. req. to read story. Sorry 'bout that, kittens.)

It's a bird, it's a plane, It's....Major Power! Celina Utilities has come up with a comic book superhero whose job it is to keep the power flowing. His arch enemy? Squirrels. Those little tree rats are jumping on his power lines and making life generally difficult for the rest of us. And he's not happy.
There are some little comic strips on this page, and a link to the artist,
Dan Davis, who has a decent resume himself. Via the

Today's comic was too cool to pass up. I'm normally a big fan of
Foxtrot to begin with, but Bill Amend really pulled a fun stunt in today's online comic. Who can spot the inside joke first? Does anybody else have a favorite memorable inside joke from the funny pages?
c'mon, I couldn't resist so lets just pretend it's still Friday...

Southpark makes waves overseas. "The U.S.-made adult cartoon show was responsible for a rise in swearing and misbehavior" said the student council. Lets all sing together: "Blame America! Blame America!" (hopefully you've seen the Southpark movie and
heard this)
