Over on Comics Alliance Chris lists Dracula's Greatest Comics Appearances, then back on ISB he's followed up with Batman versus Dracula and Dracula versus Superman. Now he's taking on Dracula in his ultimate, most 70s form. Behold... BLACULA!

Though film is not generally Andy Warhol's field of greatest fame, some see his long and storied history in film as "where Warhol's supreme achievement lies". And then there are the two horror films from 1973: Andy Warhol's Frankenstein (or Flesh for Frankenstein) and Andy Warhol's Dracula (or Blood for Dracula). The two films were filmed quickly and inexpensively in the Spring of 1973, using the Roger Corman method of filming two movies at one location using the same actors to decrease costs. Frankenstein was filmed first, using Space-Vision 3-D. But filming 3D footage was too expensive and time-consuming, so Dracula was shot in standard 35mm film. [more inside]

Dracula's Castle is for sale. The gothic fortress (also known as Bran Castle) was once home to Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. The local government has the right of first refusal, but if they choose not to make the purchase, the property can be offered to private buyers (as long as any potential new owner agrees to let it remain a state-run museum for at least three years).

Elizabeth Báthory is hot. I'd do her. The thing is she holds the world record (according to GWR) for being the most prolific serial killer in history. Supposedly, she may have tortured and killed as many as 2000 young girls, which probably makes her bi or lesbian (not that there's anything wrong with that). Some say she is the real inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Are you a night person? Like blood? Member of the European nobility? If so, you might be interested in becoming the next count Dracula. Yes, it seems that after vampire cloning didn't pan out, the Count decided to pick an heir. Seem weird? It's okay, there's precedent.
