[video] At this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo Sony announced its new advanced motion sensing controller for the PS3 in an attempt to move in on and improve features that Nintendo has used with the Wii to establish a hefty lead in gaming console sales. Nintendo had the same idea. However, Microsoft takes it to the next level with the Natal, and according to one source, it actually works. Some predictions for the future.

The developers of the long awaited ~~vaporware title~~ masterpiece, Duke Nukem Forever, had previously expressed their disdain for the E3 game conference, calling it "irrelevant nowadays," but in a surprise move they showed up for the conference and released this stunning four minute trailer for the three new handheld Duke games that are in development. This was not a triumph. I'm making a note here. Epic fail. It's hard to overstate my disappointment. Nintendo. They do what they must at E3 because they can. For the good of all casual gamers except the ones who are hardcore. But there is no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of new games. And the science gets done, and you make some neat pheripheral add-ons for the people who own a Wii.

E3 is finished. Or maybe not. The video game trade show was long known for long lines, unruly fans, and people who weren't supposed to be there. Will a combination of fan supported gaming conventions and corporate sponsored events pick up the slack?
