Mud and Blood 2 (flash) from MudandBlood.net, a profoundly unfair sandbox war game based loosely on Operation Lüttich (aka Mortain counter-offensive). You play the Allies and you will lose, screaming. [more inside]
Ninja Slash (fun flash Friday). Move left/right/up/down to kill zombies faster and faster.
Bela Kovacs and the Trail of Blood is an involving little flash mystery puzzler, mostly finding items and clues, but with more variety than the general escape-the-room game and nice atmospherics.
Steambirds: Survival (flash) is a sequel to Steambirds, the steampunk turn-based shooter, and is as addictive as patent medicine.
Hanafuda (Koi Koi) is a flash game that plays with the hanafuda deck of cards. (As a trivia side note, hanafuda cards were the beginning of Nintendo.) Once you're familiar with the deck, you can play Minhato, a java game that uses the same cards. [more inside]
Taberinos is a flash game where you bounce a puck off lines to remove them.
Baseball (flash) from sandlots to majors. Arguably harder than actual baseball.
Like checkers meets Blade Runner, Quadradius is draughts with powerups Well, with no diagonal motion or jumping, but they're checker-shaped and "Parcheesi meets Neuromancer" didn't have that ring. Pretty sure it's flash.
Crystal Clear A sliding tile-matching game that allows addictive heads-up play. (Pretty sure it's flash).
We need to get Stephen Hawking an AskMe membership. Stephen Hawking asks the Yahoo public how the human race is going to survive. Yahoo staff are excited. But the answers? Well, let's just say that there may be more utility in eating tweens after the nuclear apocalypse than listening to their ideas. To balance the stupid, Hawking has several of his lectures online. And there's great stuff on PBS's Stephen Hawking's Universe (though it's aimed at providing a basic understanding of astrophysics). Or, for a more animated view MC Hawking's (sometimes clumsy) "What We Need More of Is Science. (Previous mefi hawking here, here [where he seems to be answering his later question], here [where he presents another view on how humans will survive], and here.)
Triglav. It's fun, it's gorgeous, it's PC and Internet Explorer only. It's also unstable as all hell, so play career mode unless you don't mind restarting your whole game frustratingly often. DHTML gaming at its finest. (from the always excellent jayisgames, which is having a fantastic week). Triglav was previously mentioned but was as of then unfinished. If you're already hip to it, play meteor busters instead.
