Joe Sedelmaier showed us where the beef is, and in doing so, revolutionized television advertising (aside from spawning a Clara Peller 7" and influencing the 1984 US elections). Here are some of Sedelmaier's greatest moments: Wendy's: Soviet Fashion Show | "Parts is Parts" • FedEx: "You can't count on anything these days!" | The Classic Speed Talker (John Moschitta, previously) • Pearson's Salted Nut Roll (with Godwin effect) • Fibreglas Pink (Canada) • Kaypro Computers • Alaska Airlines • Clara Peller in Jartran Truck Rental • Hayworth Furniture Systems • GMAC Financing • And for those missing individually, Youtuber jerry7242 has posted a reel of 30 minutes' worth of Joe Sedelmaier's commercials in four parts: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 (#4 includes an interview with Joe Sedelmaier) Enjoy! (Joe is also J.J. Sedelmaier's dad.)

Gary Hart launched a weblog.

Gary Hart launched a weblog. "From time to time, I'll post my thoughts on current policy matters, as well as share some stories about where I'm traveling and the people I'm meeting. I'll also ask some of my friends to share their thoughts as well. I cannot promise to be as skillful at this as many of those who have made the blogger universe such an important part of the internet. However, I'm committed to using the Internet as a vital tool to engage people on critical policy matters and the future of our country."

Hart joins Howard Dean as the only other 2004 presidential hopeful with a weblog.

"We are conducting a two-front war on only one front," according to former senators Gary Hart and Warren Rudman. Even before their U.S. Commission on National Security/21st Century report in January 2001, Hart and Rudman had predicted that "Americans will likely die on American soil, possibly in large numbers" at the hands of terrorists, but they were ignored. And today, according to them, "more than a year has passed since the 9/11 attacks, and basic security priorities have not been met." On another note, Hart is considering a bid for the White House in 2004. With his record on national security issues, and after yesterday's Democratic performance, I think he might have a chance.
