Among those pictured are <a href="http://iris.lib.virginia.edu/rmds/vanityfair/source/wilde.html">Oscar Wilde</a>, <a href="http://iris.lib.virginia.edu/rmds/vanityfair/source/disraeli.html">Benjamin Disraeli</a>, <a href="http://iris.lib.virginia.edu/rmds/vanityfair/source/melville.html">Herman Melville</a>, <a href="http://iris.lib.virginia.edu/rmds/vanityfair/source/alfreddreyfus.html">Alfred Dreyfus</a>, <a href="http://iris.lib.virginia.edu/rmds/vanityfair/source/roosevelt.html">Teddy Roosevelt</a>, <a href="http://iris.lib.virginia.edu/rmds/vanityfair/source/eiffel.html">Gustave Eiffel</a> and <a href="http://iris.lib.virginia.edu/rmds/vanityfair/source/charlescunninghamboycott.html">Charles Boycott</a> (from whose name comes the word).
