Don’t just touch Paul Bellini – tattoo him on your arm! That kooky writer from The Kids in the Hall, Paul Bellini (NSFW blog), developed cult infamy as a result of recurring appearances on that show wearing next to nothing but a bath towel. Who indeed can forget the subsequent Touch Paul Bellini contest, in which one Rebecca Klatka of St. Petersburg won the right to do just that? (Video proof. Inevitable Facebook group.) A decade and a half later, Eric Cedrone of Buffalo takes the prize for Most Dedicated Fan of Man in Towel with his arm tattoo of Bellini in said towel, voided area used to advantage.

The Kids in The Hall are returning to CBC tonight with an 8-part murder mystery miniseries, "Death Comes To Town." Trailer. Death hops off a bus in the small town of Shuckton, Ontario, wearing a codpiece and a vest once worn by The Friendly Giant. Murder, mayhem, and hilarity are sure to ensue. Excellent interview with Scott Thompson on the history of the group, Buddy Cole (Previously on Mefi), and dealing with his own mortality while undergoing chemotherapy during the writing and production of the series. Sorry, non-Canadians, although negotiations are said to be underway, there are no known plans to broadcast the series outside the country.

"Kids in the Hall: Braincandy" is finally being released on DVD today! Sadly, it appears to be barren of any added extras, interviews or commentaries. This release is only just making me more anxious for the criminally underrated "The Wrong Guy" (starring and co-written by KITH member Dave Foley) that is scheduled to come out on September 24th. It is a must see for Kids in the Hall fans and the troops absurd brand of humour. (I won't even get into my insane anticipation for the perpetually postponed Mr.Show movie "Run Ronnie Run!")
