Midwest label
Suburban Sprawl puts out a CD of X-Mas music every winter. They've collected the last eight years of them
here. Highlights include The High Strung, The Hard Lessons, and the common lament, "Santa Just Crashed Into My House and He's Drunk as Fuck."

Jean Shepherd was one of the greatest storytellers ever to be heard on radio.
The Jean Shepherd Project collects recordings of these historic broadcasts, converts them to mp3 files and makes them available to be revisited by his longtime fans and by those who wish to discover what great American storytelling is all about.

Since the gift season is right around the corner, what are all the audiophiles looking for? Is it a
minidisc? Or
mp3? Or some kind of
combination? Maybe something to integrate into your
stereo system?
Which side of the tradeoff is worth it? Cheap capacity with real-time recording limitations or ease of use and multi-format support with high priced memory?
