NSFW! Nekkidness Inside!
Friday fun, not work safe in any way and contains nudity mostly directed at the male population or anyone who likes boobs.
A new take on the old "Follow the Ball" game. Also in German

On this fine Sunday evening, I present to the fine folks of Metafilter the utter tastelessness, but strangely amusing images of Barbies doing the nasty. (NSFW)

The Scissor Sisters
(album art NSFW) seem to be getting the attention of the two primary community-owned radio stations I have bookmarked, to the point of becoming a guilty pleasure. The band is unapologetically camp
riffing or perhaps just plundering
the more popular glam rock
lexicon and of course the music that we love to hate
, disco. Of course, it may be all over. With the recent revelation that the Scissor Sister are favored by U.K. Tory co-chair Liam Fox
they might suffer what the Guardian calls, the Curse of the Thrashing Doves. The wisdom being that while it is kosher for bands to endorse politicians
, it is the kiss of death for politicians to endorse bands. Still, it is interesting to me how things have changed in that the Scissor Sisters are capitalizing on the gay card early in their careers. Melissa Etheridge took two albums
before coping to what had been an open secret.

How Berkeley Can You Be Parade?
NSFW (unless your work doesn't mind naked men strutting their stuff).
Found during my surf after the debate last night and well worth a peek, the outraged commentary is pretty funny but it might be lost on the intolerant or those who've never been out to visit Berkeley. Among the pics is this true, true gem
(Klingons do NOT ride in golf carts, not even fat Klingons!)

Mr. Sbock's Parallel Universe:
"Boobs - the female front. These are the image files of the fake artist Mr. Sbock. His mission: To create strange new pics. To publish great female forms, fascinating breasts and beautiful buttocks. To show on the net what no one has seen before." And quite possibly what no one ever wants to see again. [nsfw - maybe unless you work here

Nice Flash presentation of images
on his site from photographer Hans Neleman's books "Night Chicas", "Moko-Maori Tattoo", "Body Transformed", and "Silence". NSFW, fer shure. (Note that you can switch
from slideshow mode to manual with controls on the right.) More Neleman
at Kodak's Legends Online
(work-safe), and more from "Night Chicas" here
(almost work-safe, but if the policy is strict - don't go.)

Babyface: A Times Square Odyssey
"This interactive web piece about the Babyfaces of Times Square takes place in the past, when the center city was a clash of classes rather than today's funeral of a theme park controlled by middle class undertakers." This is definitely not safe for work (drugs, porn, men in bathroom stalls), but if you want to remember the seedier side of NYC, this is one way to do it.

Danzig gets knocked out.
Now, I know that most of you probably aren't big on violence, however, I find a little jolt of comfort in seeing Danzig
dropped with one punch. It's like being back in high school and seeing a bully knocked out by a geek he'd been picking on. (NSFW - violence and language)

Running of the naked bull-equivalents?
(warning - NSFW, maybe - pic of naked female buttocks) Wouldn't this PETA protest, over bullfight cruelty, be more directly analogous to the "Running of the Bulls" if the naked runners were to be chased by a herd of meat eaters, on motor scooters, armed with stun guns?

The Pin-up Files
:: Hundreds of classic
drawings of glamorous and beautiful women. Also includes artist bios, notes on many of the images, and a great list of links to other sites. I find it interesting to see how our idea of what is erotic or beautiful have changed (and remained the same) from the '40's to today. This site contains some material which might be considered of an adult nature. Viewer discretion is advised.

South Park does the "Aristocrats" joke.
(WARNING! Windows Media file, very very
not safe for work.) "The Aristocrats" is a long-lived comedians' in-joke--or, rather, an extraordinarily filthy joke that's not really a joke. (Gilbert Gottfried knocked 'em dead
with it shortly after 9/11.) Now it's going public (sort of): Penn Jillette
and Paul Provenza are making a movie
featuring over 100 comedians telling their own versions. The South Park
version linked above is "not even in the top 5 for dirtiest." Yikes!

Diary of a truck stop cruiser.
"B.J. Cruiser," a self-described obese gay man, shows us that California highways teem with repressed, married truck drivers waiting for an insatiable man like him. Can this blog possibly be for real? Hilarious text not safe for work.

Recent images posted to Live Journal
(probably NSFW at any given moment) sounds like an uninteresting feed from a community: it's just a constant stream of images uploaded to LJ. But the truth is that it's fascinating to watch, to see the whole community summarized into a dozen images of the moment. [more inside]

has seen its fare share of problems when it comes to adult sites
. The latest
features a girl who has pictures of her on campus property. The problem is when the school newspaper covered the story (prev link) they linked her site
on the front page of the paper. She couldn't purchase better advertising. Last link NSFW.

Why I hate Personal Weblogs
While the Introduction to this psuedo-research paper is a bit rough and profane, I couldn't help but agree with much of the content, although I generally don't hate personal weblogs. I particularly enjoyed Chapter 2 - Why Do They Do It
, as well as the the final snippet which asserts: I, in an effort to separate the wheat from the chaff of weblog authors, propose that all weblog authors create a Statement of Audience once per month (or, every two weeks if possible) to facilitate understanding of their place in the universe and the importance of their writings.
