Can a young kid sing the
Queen of the Night's aira, stay in tune and hit the notes? This one should probably steer clear of opera fans carrying sharp knives until he passes puberty.

Flashmob - The Opera. There will be something like 200 people on site, including a 62-piece orchestra, a choir of singing policemen and a chorus of football fans... and all while it's 'business as usual' at the station. It's not the first place you'd think of doing a live opera!
Despite some
alleged security worries it went ahead at Paddington Station and has been broadcast complete with the flashmob singing
Nessun Dorma. Gloriate!

Ever noticed that the also-rans who have yet to be acquired by one of their peers seem to glom together like cornmeal in water?
Take a look at who Be is partnering with for their Stinger internet appliance software:
Bitstream - clearly a runner-up to Adobe in the typeface technology department; and
Opera - who are trying desperately to be the alternative browser of choice. Who's next? Corel, and their latest BeOS port of WordPerfect?
