With Tungsten C - it's most powerful handheld ever (according to themselves) Palm is making some aggressive moves to turn its business around and brings wireless 802.11b-based connectivity to the Palm family of devices.
Microsoft, on the other hand, is to use FM radio waves for news, weather and traffic, etc - on your watch.
Is this a race or PDA technology diversity at its best?
...and here I'm sitting around with my stone age Visor.

Dasher is a new way to input text on a Pilot or any computer without a keyboard. There's a version available for download to try out on your desktop, using your mouse. It really is quite freaky to use. The amazing thing is, it actually appears to work. After a couple of minutes experimenting, it's almost as fast as typing for a slow typist like myself.

Avant-no -- Avantgo puts limit on "free" channels. If you currently offer a "custom channel" through Avantgo (in other words, one you're not paying for), there is now a limit of eight subscribers to that channel before you have to pay. Starting price: $1,000. (More inside...)

When a Palm Pilot is mixed with an oven pilot light, you know it's going to be an awful mess. But if the Pizza was good, it was all worth it.

Now there's no excuse for starting that blog. This software allows you to create entries on your Palm (Windows only it appears :-( )

I used to have a 1.2Mbps DSL link when I lived in Atlanta. Now I am back home in Europe and I log on to the Net on a thin old 33kbps dialup. But old habits die hard. I want my web man, I need it. So, I did some thinking, went on Google and found this. And now my question is: how many people out there would like to get thinner, faster versions of their favorite sites? Is there an index of such versions? And if not, how many of you would like to see one? I got some interesting Python spiders lying around...

Geeks (like me), welcome the new Palm m505 -- all the style of the V series, with an improved color lcd screen and an expansion slot! Yum.

The best idea for a PDA in a long time! I love my palm but I think this would be even better yet.

When did Claudia Schiffer become an expert in computers? And why would I care what she thinks should be installed on one? (Light and casual: jokes. That's the way, now.)

A dating PDA - I guess this is one tech solution to Kaya's idea of plumage to attract a potential mate. Related story at Wired News. I just wish they didn't look so ugly.....

Dumb name, clever site. Yodlee wants to provide an online service that consolidates all of the email, ecommerce, banking, and travel accounts that you probably have scattered across a half-dozen, disparate sites and then link them right into your Palm. And they support sites out the wazoo already. Now you have only one login and password to forget.
