Crisis on Infinite Earths was a 12-issue comic book maxi-series published in 1985 and 1986 in which DC Comics condensed their multiverse into a single universe, thus "simplifying" and "improving" it. Whether they succeeded in that goal is a good question, and one I shan't address. Crisis is, however, incredibly important to understanding DC continuity, as well as being possibly the most significant crossover series of all time.

Their universe-wide reboot only weeks away, DC Comics has released 52 new logos for their books
; they've been met with some praise and much griping
. But what makes a good superhero logo?
Maybe the design history of Daredevil
), The Hulk
), The Atom
, (parts 2
), World's Finest
, ), The Legion of Superheroes
) or Superman
can shed a clue. [more inside]

! A new online comic book is now available
*, and three feature-length films are in development. Remarkably, the comic was developed as a combined effort
between producers and fans; fans voted on five different stories and even contributed art. ReBoot
was one of the first TV shows to feature 100% digital animation and has a warm place in the hearts of many children of the 90s.

The Vancouver Company that created ReBoot
will be making a CGI Spider-Man cartoon
. Neil Patrick Harris as Spidey, Lisa Loeb as Mary Jane and Ian Ziering as Harry Osborn will inhabit a "seemingly realistic neon lit city of the immediate future"
. Will this show set a new standard of production for cartoons based on comics? Will MJ wear glasses?

May 1st Reboot
. On April 25, participating sites shut down and post a Reboot Holder, until May 1st, at which time they relaunch. Why?
Upon review of all of this year's participating sites, a good number of them are not using the required Reboot Holder. Most have simply continued with normal operations and even made updates as recently as this afternoon.
