For Sale: Your very own ready room!

Where does Number 1 go? Interior designer/nerd gives his apartment the "Away Team Eye" once over and manages to make something pretty darn interesting. Sure it makes a great conversation piece, but could you live there? More photos make the "future perfect" world of Star Trek look a little too busy for actual living.

Starship Exeter

These are the voyages of the Starship Exeter, its seven year production mission: to authenticate 1960s Star Trek, to build their own props and sets, and to boldly go where no fan flick has gone before. "We were sitting around my dad's office, and I said, 'We should try to make our own episode,' " Jimm Johnson recalls. "My brother said, 'Yeah, and we should have an Andorian in it.' "

I can have my own Gorn head? Sweet!

I can have my own Gorn head? Sweet! A memorabilia company is auctioning off tons of Star Trek original props, scripts, costumes, etc. You can finally own Capt. Pike's chair (which my dentist also has, I think), memos that made jerk sci-fi authors very angry, the big seat itself and, of course, Frank Gorshin's pants.

Teleportation finally?

Teleportation finally? Not quite "beam me up scotty" yet, but a definite surge forward. The mechanics of it aren't quite sophisticated enough yet to handle humans, but this does make quantum computers close to reality.

Step aside, Crusher!

Step aside, Crusher! Shatner's posting his personal thoughts in "Bill's Space", he's even got a discussion section where he asks fans to "continue this dialogue further". (via some guy named matt)

24th century* apartment. Only $4 million.
*Actual 24th century-ness of the apartment will not be known until we actually reach the 24th century.

They're auctioning off my childhood.

They're auctioning off my childhood. But I can always pick up the original Enterprise for only US$15,000. Starting bid, of course. Maybe I'd rather have Shatner's Kirk tunic -- a steal at only US$6,000.

Beam me up, Scotty.

Beam me up, Scotty. We might have to wait a few more years, though.

Star Trek-Enterprise

Star Trek-Enterprise Yes, last night was the debut of the latest Star Trek Saga.. the tale of the first shape..the first Enterprise. Rather then sitting through the fan boy never ever seen a woman necked that was in 2D opinions over at slashdot, I decided to sort through some (sic) intelligent statements. So what did you think.. more inside.

For the trekkies and closet trekkies out there - your collection is not complete without Spock's head.

Well this is Qte!

Well this is Qte! I'm sure I'm probably the last to know about it. And it's probably not fashionable to admit to being a trekkie nowadays, but since when have I been fashionable? Finally they have come out with a Star Trek computer game that I enjoyed. Kinda like the card game. I suck at it, but it was still fun. And it's great for the ego. You get to pretend you're Q...
