At the University of Southern California, in the spring, a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love…making atop the roof of the campus' Waite Phillips Hall. Photos of the tryst went *cough* "viral" this week, and in the aftermath of the incident, the male Kappa Sigma member has gone into hiding. Web forum Hipinion checks in with some Photoshop re-interpretations of the couple's romp.

"We do not think our way to right action. We act our way to right thinking." David Milch talks to students in USC class Religion, Media and Hollywood. Not for everyone but I find pretty much anything this guy says fascinating. Parts 1 2 3 4 5 6.

The University of South Carolina recently completed an ambitious survey of all medieval texts in the state for an exhibit at the university library. PETA is at it again, but this time they know not with whom they trifle. PETA's Kristie Phelps sent a letter to Dr. John Palms, president of the University of South Carolina, requesting that USC "bench" their athletic teams' moniker "The Fighting Gamecocks," because, well, it's funnier to read the press release and letter for yourself. The letter elicited this response and this news story in The State, our local paper. (Note the further link from there to the readers' forum, which is pretty damn hilarious in its own right.)

A call for help
I swear I read an article that listed a female USC student that was on one of the planes, but can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help out with an URL? I've got an upset friend who attended USC and would like to have any info she can find.
