One of the classic arguments against evolution by natural selection is
"what
good is half an X?" where X is an eye, a wing or some other complex
body part or system. Directly responding to the implicit challenge some researchers have been
not just figuring out how X could have
evolved, but actually evolving
new complex
machines (previously). The basic ideas are so
simple that web
versions (explanation
and discussion) have been popping
up.

For many, many years, my very favorite bad singer on this Earth has been Wing. I heart her, and I am actually not alone. Over the last 4 years, the endearingly earnest and impressively prolific Wing has gained international fame and made more money on her recordings than a majority of far, far more talented musicians. Yes, she is an acquired taste & many of you will have a different experience, but whenever I listen to her I smile from ear to ear -- both of which have delicate little streams blood trickling from them at the time. And so now I have the honor of presenting to you without further ado (drum roll please) our special guest entertainer for the day, the woman herself... Wing LIVE in concert. **Waves a lighter in the air**

Aero Warriors: Battling at super speedways on Sunday to sell cars on Monday. In 1969 only showroom stock cars were permitted in NASCAR sanctioned events. This meant in order to compete a car had to be produced and available through dealers in minimum quantities. Only minor changes for racing were allowed. And in 1969 Ford and Chrysler were locked in a Battle Royale to win races. To this end both produced cars designed to dominate on the 1+ mile speedways. For Chrysler: the Dodge Charger 500, Dodge Charger Daytona, and Plymouth Road Runner Superbird. For Ford: the Ford Torino Talladega and Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II. Aero Warriors is the story and history of these street legal, 200mph (320kph) capable, wildly winged cars from the Chrysler side of the line.

Benjamin Hackett is more than just your average right-wing blogger. Sure, he's interned for Sean Hannity and his latest opinion piece was a drawn-out character assasination of Cindy Sheehan, but he also writes some titillating/hilarious erotic fiction (text NSFW). May he carry on the great tradition.

Most Americans don't know their left wingers from their right wingers. And no, its not about hockey or chicken parts.
