A document has recently surfaced online, published by an Adelle Dewitt, asking all of the employees of the Los Angles branch of Rossum inc. to please, for the love of god, buckle down and bring in more clients. The only problem? Rossum has denied that Dewitts department even exists. Which is why Sen. Perrin is threatening to call down the thunder. This is all of course, a part of an ARG promoting the second season of Dollhouse(direct hulu link to Belle Chose- an amazing episode from the current season), the newest show from Buffy, Angel, Firefly, and Dr. Horrible creator Joss Whedon. The show has been performing poorly in the ratings for FOX. But fans have been buoyed by some recent good news about the show's DVR numbers, and the news that, no matter what, FOX will air all the ordered episodes in the second season. Whether or not the show gets a third season, fans should at least be happy that the series has produced what some feel to be one of the high water marks in Whedon's output, the unaired 13th episode of the first season, Epitaph One (megavideo link)

Pilot School. A nice collection of teevee show pilot scripts. Observe the embryonic state of many of the classics of the past few decades, including Buffy, The Wire, Hill Street Blues, Battlestar Galactica, The Sopranos and The West Wing. For people who aren't students of the form, the most interesting part may be the small changes that happen between script to screen. For instance, Twin Peaks was originally named Northwest Passage, Tony Soprano was named Tommy, and The West Wing's C.J. Cregg was described as "compact."

Joss Whedon announces new Fox television series, with Eliza Dushku! "Echo (Eliza Dushku) [is] a young woman who is literally everybody's fantasy." "She is one of a group of men and women who can be imprinted with personality packages, including memories, skills, language—even muscle memory—for different assignments." Conceived of during a trip to the bathroom in the midst of a lunch Joss had with Eliza in which he was giving her career advice. (The writers' strike would delay the project.) Geeks and Whedonites everywhere, rejoice! (And Joss' Office episode airs tomorrow night.)

Frozen Indigo Angel

Frozen Indigo Angel Video producer Paul Denchfield recently noticed the words 'Frozen Indigo Angel' appearing on some work he'd produced for the BBC's Radio One website. Wanting to know what it was about, he contacted the corporation but they were evasive about it and not long afterwards he was told his services were no longer required. Not wanting to take it lying down, he's started blogging about the phenomena, which is virally spreading across the BBC's digital content, even popping up in the information window of DAB radios, trying to get to the bottom of this thing which has apparently cost him his job. Simple marketing or something more sinister?

All the scripts to The Inside. Tim Minear, an altogether rather talented producer/writer/director behind Firefly, Angel, and Wonderfalls, created a serial killer show with a difference back in 2005. It was interesting, weird, critically acclaimed, and on FOX, so of course it got cancelled after 13 episodes. Luckily, Mr. Minear has posted on his own site the draft scripts to every episode, as written by himself and his talented friends. They make for fun reading, for those who don't mind reading scripts and would like some tightly-written, throughline-having, serial killery goodness without that funny CSI aftertaste. [via]

Fan fiction in motion: Cherub, the Vampire with Bunny Slippers is the latest "internet video series" following several other parodies, no-budget home movies and web-only serials inspired by Joss Whedon works (or the sudden lack thereof). Released every Friday and in its second episode, Cherub (trailer) is part comedy, part cheeseball community theater and based on the WB series Angel. And there are others in the works.

Tamale Ladies! Who knew there was more than one? I just knew about our Tamale Lady who keeps us fed out in the beer garden at Zeitgeist and who had a rockin' birthday party not long ago.
