Abu Ghraib revisited? Savaged by dogs, Electrocuted With Cattle Prods, Burned By Toxic Chemicals, Does such barbaric abuse inside U.S. jails explain the horrors that were committed in Iraq? [...] It’s terrible to watch some of the videos and realise that you’re not only seeing torture in action but, in the most extreme cases, you are witnessing young men dying.
Channel 4-documentary on US prisons. (google video. Disclaimer: nasty stuff)

was there just a second ago... Cop Watch LA, a police watchdog group, posted the video on YouTube,
said organizer Joaquin Cienfuegos. Cienfuegos said the video was shot by a neighbor of Cardenas with a cell phone camera. The neighbor gave it to Cardenas' family, who then gave it to Cop Watch, according to Cienfuegos.

How sick are we as a nation when this is done is public and no one notices. Of course, the coast was clear, as the mom checked before she launched this attack. But then, to read that the family, seeing the videotape of the beating, still protects their daughter, I have to come close to burning rage inside.
Enough to make me wish she gets caught and prosecuted in Texas, where she has some links.

It's not up to the standards of the beating that Rodney King took, but it seems less called for than the punch
John Prescott threw. A policeman in Wakefield (UK) is videoed applying some, uh,
instant justice.

Let the witch-hunt begin. Truthfully, I don't blame the police one bit for taking the guy down as hard as they did... he resisted arrest 2-3 times as well as exchanged gunfire with them twice before they subdued him.
