Readability is a wonderful bookmarklet that strips away all the surrounding cruft on a page so you can focus on the content.

I've often looked at Magnetic Poetry in gift shops and thought, "There's no way I'm paying that much." Fortunately, there's a free alternative, albeit a digital one. (Includes a bookmarklet that allows you to pull a word set from any webpage, and the option to save your masterpiece to show your friends.)

The Disruptive Web is an InfoWorld article about the "disruptive" power of weblogs. Combining the aggregated reading habits of the blog community collected by All Consuming with bookmarklets and an RSS feed, the author conducted an experiment to search for the availability of blog-popular books at local libraries. "By the end of the day, the technique was verified to work with many libraries in the United States. What's more, it had mutated. links open windows is a bookmarklet I wrote which evolved from my 'links open windows' checkbox. Drag this to your toolbar (like you did with deepleap) and with a click you can cause the links on any page to spawn new windows. In a few cases (like the Guardian weblog) you might want to do the opposite, and follow links in one window. Enjoy.
