Overgrow.com --one of the largest and most comprehensive sites written by and for cannabis growers about
cannabis cultivation, complete with user forums and immense photo galleries--along with Heaven's Stairway Seeds (hempqc.com), Cannabisworld.com, and Eurohemp.com have all been
shut down, their
owners arrested in Canada, and the servers seized. The story hasn't yet made the Canadian news, but it raises many questions about free speech online.

In the market for a George W. Bush bust? That's what I figured. Luckily, you have some
choices. And if you're little Bush head gets lonely, you could get
Lincoln,
Washington,
Quayle (if you don't mind stealing), and the
rest of the gang to join him. Just make sure you have a couple thousand to spare.

This new trading card game takes an ironic look a a bunch of "Bad Ideas" from the dot-com boom and bust. The object is to remain in business as long as possible by raising money from VC's and forcing your opponents to spend resources on developing bad ideas... You can't actually generate any revenue, of course :-)

Is Silicon Valley coming back? Newsweek's cover story this week is the return of Silicon Valley after the Bust of 2000, start-ups and all. Does this new round of hype have any morsels of truth to it?

Optimism: Was the bust really a
Bust (See below)? Douglas Rushkoff doesn't think so. But then, he's a pretty optimistic guy, if you ask me. (Warning, his article links to MetaFilter... Does that count as a self-link?)
