Tonight ends the 15th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, where tens of thousands of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and more cruise Woodward Avenue in Southeast Michigan. While the cruise celebrates the glory dates of the American automobile (and the culture that developed around it), there’s more to love about Woodward than just this one event. For instance, it just celebrated the 100th anniversary of being the first concrete highway in the world! And with over a million people attending and having a good time, it’s a sign that not all is bad in Detroit at the moment.
