The Satoshi Affair

"He put a gun to our head and pulled the trigger," MacGregor told me. "The world is still going to think we got fooled, but I know the facts. He has the keys." Remarkable (and very, very long) article from Andrew O’Hagan, who for six months shadowed Craig Wright from his escape from Australia all the way through his disastrous reveal as Satoshi Nakamoto.

Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto

Mr Wright has provided technical proof to back up his claim using coins known to be owned by Bitcoin's creator. Prominent members of the Bitcoin community and its core development team have also confirmed Mr Wright's claim.

The Big House

Hailed as a Billionaire by a compliant media, Craig Whyte then bought Glasgow Rangers, one of the world's oldest soccer teams, for a Pound. A Blog started, doubting the media spin. The BBC started to raise doubts. Rangers fans protested outside the BBC. When Rangers then went bust, they were somewhat surprised. George Galloway Laughs, Fans Sing, and Officials are Threatened. The journo who claimed Whyte to be a Billionaire is made "Scottish Journalist of the Year" by a former chief judge.

Craig Murray Attends the Formal Evidence Session on UK Complicity in Torture

Craig Murray (Previously: 1 2) Attends the Formal Evidence Session on UK Complicity in Torture on Tuesday 28 April 1.45pm UK time. You can (hopefully) watch it on Parliament TV. If you want to have a good look at UK / US complicity in torture, this might be a good place to start... Please note he has said "There is absolutely no way I am going to kill myself. Just thought it might be wise to get that out in public!". Hopefully statements like that won't be necessary.

Please bring either an umbrella or a frozen spatchcock and some toothpicks.

Hi! I'd like you to meet Craig. He has a time machine and his grandmother's a bit deaf, so you'll have to speak up.

How many does that make now?

GOP Senator Larry Craig arrested in 'bathroom incident' --and pleads guilty. ... At one point during the interview, Craig handed the plainclothes sergeant who arrested him a business card that identified him as a U.S. Senator and said, “What do you think about that?” ... He's denied similar stories in the past.

Silence is Broken

A Disturbance in the Blogosphere: Publishing the UK/US/Uzbekistan Torture Memo. Braving arrest, bloggers have broken the UK’s law of silence with the truth about torture. Bloggers are mass publishing the leaked UK/US/Uzbekistan Torture Memos. The memos are from the correspondences of Craig Murray who was the United Kingdom's ambassador to Uzbekistan. These memos are evidence and a memorandum of record outlining the rendition and torture of US-arrested prisoners in Uzbekistan. From Craig Murray's Memo: 12. On the usefulness of the material obtained, this is irrelevant. Article 2 of the [UN] Convention, to which we are a party, could not be plainer: "No exceptional circumstances whatsoever, whether a state of war or a threat of war, internal political instability or any other public emergency, may be invoked as a justification of torture." 13. Nonetheless, I repeat that this material is useless – we are selling our souls for dross. It is in fact positively harmful.

Taking navel-gazing to a whole new level: Remember when a company called Celera decoded the human genome a few years back? Well, now we know whose DNA they used.
