Why? Because lack of common sense is a global, and playing with exotic animals is fun and trendy. No word on whether they had to kill the hippo and test it's brain for rabies.

"Suspected thief hides in mall overnight to steal cellphones."

He took drugs to stay awake the whole night, and would've gotten away with the loot had he taken his time and not rushed out immediately after the mall opened. Mom was right -- patience really is a virtue!

Does everyone know about the Darwin Awards? (These are the awards given to people who most improve the human race... by departing early...)

The most commonly cited one is the story of the guy who mounted a rocket on his Chevy Impala, and flew it into a canyon wall... well, as with most good stories, it's based on an actual event. [ Reserve an hour or more, and bring diapers. ]
