Recently named <a href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0902/best.woman.athlete.by.birth.state.final/content.15.html">Iowa's best woman athlete</a> by Sports Illustrated, the 5'11" basketball player averaged 62.8 pts during one season and was drafted by the San Francisco Warriors straight out of high school. She briefly played in team owner Franklin Mieuli's professional women's league, but soon gave up on basketball as a career.
