Tim Nicholson, a UK former executive, believes he was
fired for his environmental views. He has
sued his former employer for discrimination on grounds of the
Employment Equality act, which states that employees may not be discriminated against for religious or philosophical beliefs. His former employers argue that his views were political, and thus do not fall under the act.

The First Freedom Project --new from the Dept of Justice,
announced at the Southern Baptist Convention along with a call for their help---specifically and only to protect the religious from discrimination against them. Many are not impressed:

The card will let them know that I really wanted to contribute money for them to help the needy at Christmas time, but because of their
